Coverage

AICO raises capital across all alternative assets, including real estate, hedge funds, private equity, private debt, infrastructure as well as insurance linked funds and digital assets, with global as well as regionally focussed investment approaches.

In terms of track record and size, AICO is raising capital for first time funds, starting at pre-launch stage, as well as for long-established funds and managers. 

Remuneration

AICO places a strong emphasis on aligning interests with our clients, and our remuneration is primarily driven by success-based fees. while retainers may be part of the fee structure, the main emphasis remains performance-based and is engagement specific, ensuring it reflects our commitment to shared success. as a principle, AICO only accepts remuneration from the manager, never from prospective investors.

This approach underscores our belief in what we do and the confidence we have in delivering value.

Selectiveness

AICO partners is only raising capital for a few, select number of managers at any point in time.  the firm believes in pursuing a concentrated approach as this allows for the necessary focus and attention.  it also provides for credibility, when reaching out to the investor network. 

Manager integrity and pedigree are important to aico partners and there needs to be conviction that the strategy can provide an added value to investors' portfolios.

The select funds that aico partners are raising capital for receive exclusivity within their niche or strategy.  AICO does not raise capital for two managers of the same strategy at the same time.

Process 

Each fund has its own unique story, and the process begins with AICO conducting its own, individual due diligence to deeply understand both the people and the narrative behind it. 

It further includes developing a sales strategy, the creation and systematic implementation of action plans, reviewing marketing and sales documents, crafting compelling marketing narratives, and organizing roadshows to drive engagement.  Additionally, it includes documenting the sales process, being available for updates to senior client management and collaborating with key client stakeholders, such as investment management, sales and marketing departments, to ensure alignment and maximize results. 

We collaborate closely with the managers we represent, aligning on key milestones and tailored investor outreach strategies.  We ensure transparency in every step of the process and remain mindful of the importance of using managers' time efficiently.
