Nicolas A. Widmer

Nicolas, a Swiss national, founded AICO in 1998 after having spent 13 years in the foreign exchange markets.  starting as a trader in the treasury of Citicorp, he then joined JP Morgan as a member of the treasury services group followed by a move back into fx-trading, where he was responsible for dm/chf book and proprietary positions.

His believe is that there is always considerable talent and trading strategies in the alternative investment area, which can support and serve investors to enhance the return profile of their investment portfolios.

Dr. Christopher Wahlquist 

Christopher, a Swiss and Swedish national, brings nearly three decades of experience in alternative investments.  Before joining AICO, he held a senior role at UBS as an investment committee member for one of the world’s largest alternative investment platforms. Initially focused on portfolio manage-  ment across various alternative asset classes, he later led the business development function, driving global sales of customized portfolios and multi-alternative asset solutions, engaging with institutional clients worldwide. Prior to UBS, he worked with a London-based CTA.

He holds a doctorate from the University of St Gallen and has been a speaker at the national convention of the Swiss Bankers Association, the German Bundestag and Bloomberg.
